Boesio overpass
Structural health monitoring of the overpass

Project description
The Boesio overpass, built in 1927, is about 426 m long and lies in the municipality of Laveno Mombello. Its roadway consists of a reinforced concrete slab and beams resting on reinforced concrete trestles; the end sections of the ramps sit on embankments.
The service covered the instrumental monitoring campaign of the overpass (Structural Health Monitoring): a network of sensors, inclinometers and accelerometers, managed by hardware and software systems that acquire and process data automatically or semi-automatically and detect anomalies, making the structure capable of self-diagnosis.
