Project description

The detailed design covers scheduled maintenance of the E. Umbertini bridge on the SS 79 state road, in the municipality of Rieti. The overpass, about 37.6 m long, has three spans of 10.7, 16.2 and 10.7 m, with tapered reinforced concrete beams of variable depth and a composite slab; the deck is 8.30 m wide overall.

The works mainly involve replacing the drop-in beam and refurbishing the joints, strengthening the slab, piers and abutments, building bank protection and clearing vegetation.
