Inspection and classification of the Province of Oristano bridges

Scope of work: Direct visual inspection and assignment of attention classes for bridges and viaducts with spans over 6 metres on provincial roads (Levels 0, 1 and 2 under Ministerial Decrees 430/2019 and 204/2022)

Project description

The assignment covered Levels 0, 1 and 2 for the structures of the Province of Oristano: the inventory (Level 0) and inspections (Levels 1 and 2) of 176 structures, totalling 468 spans, of different types and sizes, including the Santa Chiara, Omodeo and Brabau bridges.

On-site campaigns used high-resolution photography, professional drone flights and measurement of the main elements, through to a survey of deterioration. Inspections were carried out by Accredia-certified inspectors using level 2 and 3 non-destructive testing methods, in line with UNI 11931:2024.
